Privacy Policy for Dropease
Dropease ("the App") provides product content generation, image creation, customer insight analysis, and product synchronization features for merchants using the Shopify platform. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, process, and store information when you use the App.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Shopify Store & Account Data
When you install Dropease, we access certain data through Shopify's API, including:
- •Store name, store domain, and store ID
- •Shopify user ID
- •Shopify access token (securely encrypted)
- •Product data: titles, descriptions, images, variants, metafields
- •Theme data when needed for content blocks
We do not access payment or order financial information.
2. How We Use Your Data
2.1 AI Processing
We process the following types of data to generate content:
We use this data to:
- •Product titles, descriptions, attributes
- •Product media (images)
- •Inferred customer motivations and target-market signals
- •Language and locale of your store
- -Generate product titles, descriptions, feature highlights
- -Create studio, lifestyle, and infographic visuals
- -Generate ALT text
- -Produce buyer insights and target-market analysis
- -Recommend product content aligned with customer motivations
2.2 Product Sync Back to Shopify
Dropease may update your Shopify products only when you explicitly choose to sync.
- •Updating product titles
- •Updating product descriptions
- •Updating product images or adding newly generated images
- •Updating ALT text
- •Adding feature highlight blocks to your theme if requested
The App never modifies product information without your action.
2.3 App Functionality & Operations
We use data to:
- •Display your products inside the App
- •Maintain usage logs for quota tracking
- •Deliver personalized AI results
- •Improve content quality and relevance
We do not sell or share your data with third parties.
3. Data Storage & Retention
Data storage and retention policies:
- •Only necessary store data is saved (product records, generated content, logs).
- •Shopify access tokens and IDs are encrypted.
- •Sync history and generated content remain stored while your subscription is active.
- •When you uninstall the App, we automatically delete:
- -Shopify tokens
- -Product sync permissions
- -Usage logs
- -Store identifiers
Anonymized analytics may be retained for service improvement.
4. AI Use of Data
Our AI systems use your data only to generate outputs you request, including:
- •Content generation
- •Visual generation
- •Customer insight generation
- •Synchronization-ready content blocks
We do not use your data to train external AI models. All processing follows Shopify's API & data protection rules.
5. User Rights
You may:
- •Request access to your stored data
- •Request modification or deletion of data
- •Request clarification on how your data is used
- •Withdraw permissions by uninstalling the App
